Re run flavoured
Hi
I have about 3 ltrs of spiced rum i made at 40% can i water down and re distill .and will it take the flavour out or reduce it ...air still

It will take the flavour out. Plenty of copper seems to help.

You may need More than one run. The AirStill is a pot still, so some flavour will come over - this is why recipes such as Odin’s gin work.
I tried removing an overpowering cumin from a gin once - it proved a complete waste of time. I’ve not tried cumin gin again!!

Re-dstilling will reduce any "flavour"
You may have to repeat,or Carbon filter.
The alcohol is not lost.

Agreed. Gins are a proper bugger to clean up. An airstone and carbon filtering helps.
I read this as an flavour essence sorry.
They come out easily IME.
I guess the difference is that essences are mixed in cold and not bound as well with the alcohol.

Was a few trials i done trying to make a spiced rum .have ran it now and has a mild spice taste to it so now i am going to let sit on some jd chunks and make a spiced jd .thanks for the replys
