Q aboutStill Spirits thingy for constant water pressure.
Anyone got one? Does it do what it is supposed to do?
I currently have a pressure relief valve inline with the inlet tubing. Got it used from the bay, unknown age.
So...I'm doing a run last week, same method as always. T500 is running in the kitchen, I'm in the living room and it's into the 2nd litre of hearts. Last checked it about 20 minutes previous.
Hmmm...what's that smell? Doesn't seem right. Go into the kitchen and the water flow has stopped. Temp up to 76'C and the room stank like something was about to blow.
Hit the mains switch double quick, put the kitchen tap full on and water started to flow. Wait until temps are < 40'C and reduce water flow to the usual. Turn mains back on and no further problems but I was watching like a hawk, checking on it every 2 minutes or so.
So I can't trust my prv. If I buy another used one that might not be trustworthy either.
I'm thinking of getting the Still Spirits gadget to regulate the water flow. If it's overpriced, I don't care, I just want something new that works and for there to be someone I can shout at if it doesn't so what it is supposed to do.
Any experience with it? What is the thing called?

I don't know if you have read it but we have already discussed these in this post, worth a read before you do anything else

Always give the hardest job to the laziest person because they will always find the easiest way to do it.

I had a PRV inline and it was a PITA....it works for some...not for me.
I fitted a gate valve and it works a treat.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.
