this worked only till the point of the hose pipe slipped of the copper pipe so ive ordered an SPEEDFIT 15MM X 1/2" HOSE CONNECTOR NC448 from ebay should solve the problem of the pipe coming off

Don't under estimate the power of jubilee clips, I use them on anything that's not a push fit / speed fit, just to be on the safe side.
