Hi Guys
for a good while now I've bought stuff from Jim at this company otherwise known as Hop and Cork over a period of years with great service
latest delivery arrived 2 or 3 weeks ago less a balance which was supposed to follow but no joy with that
Tried phoning and E mailing but no answer and the websites down
Doesn't sound good
Anyone heard anything or live in that neck of the woods (Brownhills)

The accounts filed with Companies House suggest a fairly soggy financial foundation, though the last lot only cover 2014..

Not sounding good AT.
I am not going to ask what hampk does for a living,but glad that he is one of us!

Lol - I'm mostly harmless really!

@Mash I have that information but won't post it here (even though it is public domain anyway) - anyone who wants to try that route can PM me. It's unlikely to be of much use as the correspondence address is the premises themselves.

Feedback from anyone close enough to check what's going on is probably the only way to really get an answer.

Ear worms I HATE them...some nights when sleep evades me that's all I have going on...

I tried using the street view to look at next door and near bye businesses to see if they knew anything but none of the numbers connected

Maybe this part of Brownhills high street is a business black hole..........

I would contact the owners.

AT..I found the number for the coffee shop opposite..01543-373906. rang them and they say the shutters are down..that's at 10;00...not looking good matey.

I was a customer of both online and physical shops of HMBS/H&C

Last time I was in was December 2015, and when the website went dark, it was no surprise. A pop to Brownhills merely confirmed what I suspected.

Sadly the business fell prey to personal circumstances.

It's clear there was a sudden need for money as I am sure there would have been quite some value in selling the business (plus a domain name to kill for) as a going concern. Heck, *I* would have considered buying it.

Annoyingly it was the only place that sold a mixture of SS stuff *and* Essencia.

ON the topic of internet ordering, I had an idea a while ago for a online storefront which takes orders, but manages to direct them behind the scenes to be fulfilled by your *local* HBS. Thus using the internet to preserve rather than remove local specialist shops.

I have lots of ideas
