HELP! Findings cock up

Postby Corps012588 » Sun May 04, 2014 8:17 am

Last night I added part a of my finings but then went to bed forgetting to put part b in.
I added part b this morning. Will it still work?
Thanks in advance

I've forgotten part b in the past for a few hours...never all night...but I can't see why it shouldn't still work. ???
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

I also forgot to add part b. Some 24+ hours, but it was fine so don't worry.

Curious as to what 2-part finings brand you use over there?

I have some Kwik Kleer (it's British I think) left over from my wine making days that I recently tried in a wash. Achieved absolutely zip.
I seldom take myself seriously....

I'm guessing the guys here were referring to alcotec 24 Turbo Clear.
It's one I use,two part liquid finings,usually very effective.

The finings are just the youngs 2 part.
I've tried using 2 packs in 60ltrs.
I always get scared of the wash spoiling at clearing stage!

I did some research a couple of years ago.

From what I remember

Turbo Clear = Young's = Wilko's

Wilko's is half the price, the packets are half the size and it takes twice as long (2 days instead of 1).

This wash just isn't clearing! How would I tell if it's got an infection?
I've tasted it and it tastes really dry but not like vinegar or anything.
It just refuses to clear

Never had a wash like this! Think I might drop to 25ltr washes again

Forgot to say.
I'm currently running it through the smartstill to see if it's viable.
Just wanted advice or reassurance.
Sorry guys
