I don't, but would guess that time spent on the well known auction site might provide some information and a price guide.
People seem to buy anything on there.
The stuff I have sold there in the past surprised me, my valuations, and the prices achieved seemed at great variance.
Robert.

You just need to find someone that wants it.
The price of anything is set by what someone is willing to pay for it!!!

Probably a market from people looking to refill them and serve cheaper whiskey to ignorant guests.

you all said what was my thoughts exactly haha
i was on ebay having a look but not a huge amount of info. a more specialist site would be good if anyone knows any? i have a huge amount of genuine vodka gin and whisky bottles and im looking to get rid of them. just moved house and been screwed out of my deposit and my 50in tv i was going to sell! want some cash for new eqiupment like demijohns, buckets, all kinds of stuff.
anybody got anyinfo on fixing an inner bucket on an essencia filter? small crack at the bottom, i was thinking using glue gun on the outer bit u screw the carbon filter into...
also, im located in N Ireland and as some may know, shipping can be a hassle to NI, Scotland, etc so if anybodys in that area got something to swap or wants to buy let me know. i also have a right bit of stuff lying about.
Cheers all

So tell me who here has not made wine and "recycled" an old, empty, labelled bottle and used a new shrink on closure?

I have not. The wine I make is much better than the plonk I will pay money for!

Robert.
I am guilty of this. My Young's winebuddy Sauvignon Blanc has been known to disguise itself in a New Zealand Marlborough bottle.

No idea what the NZ wine tastes like - they're donated empty bottles. I'd never pay £9 a bottle! I get two bottles for that price in Iceland!

Re: are rare whisky bottles worth much money empty?
i recently put a 35% quadruple distilled neutral made out of all the leftover bits of bottles of wine and beer u find lying about, added the tails of my last batch and custom made a plasic cork to fit a de labelled bottle of henry westons cider, then added a slight drop of a fresh bottle of westons cider, and sealed it with a few layers of bees wax kind of like makers mark whisky...
went down well
