just an update

ive cut and soldered the slant plates,i was a bit concerned how the plates would soldered
after doing one,but as it is it turned out ok,could have been better,i would of like
to have the slots completly filled with solder but the blow torch kept on blowing the
solder out.but ive tested it by pouring water down the middle and theres no leaks
and i shone a bright light where the slots are and thermo port and output port and couldnt see any light inside the coloum,so it must have soldered,im pleased that it turned out ok (been at it for over 2 and half years ),just need to look for a needle valve(as the one i got will be too heavy for the 6mm output pipe and its a 5/8" hole :( )

just need to do a few more things before it will be all completed.hopefully up and running jan/feb next year,i already got a wash that needing doing and this will be my
last run of this year with my little airstill

Hi Dave, is that a different lid?

I never got any further than cutting metal. Congrats on the progress, I just couldn't get close to making the coil.

Looks good, I've got some spare double wound coils for cooling, they're about 8" long, I'm gonna finish them off with a 54mm cap and 8mm cooling pipe connections.

They'll be for sale soon if anyone wants one

yeah its same lid ive tig welded a plate on the hole that you did, welded on inside lid
but never got round to weld on outside lid,as for the coil i used 6mm copper, but i might make a jig and wind that 8mm copper and make a single coil
