What I Did Today
Re: What I Did Today
Thumbs-up. You seem to be getting your head around things.

I seldom take myself seriously....

Yup, I find that they will sit in the outbox if you're not careful.
I can't remember how, but they seem to go once you log out........

IME they seem to leave the outbox when someone clicks on them in their own inbox.
But what do I know?
I am a saddo that logs in, and out every day.

I think NZ may have a similar laid back approach to certain Caribbean islands.

Re: What I Did Today
Today I dumped some wine, beer and cider and sterilised every damn thing I have as I must have got a bit slack due to it being less important in distilling.
I only lost about £25 of ingredients, which is obviously nothing in comparison to what I've saved both through fermentation and distillation, but I'm still a bit cross with myself.

I will own up to being lax on sterilisation, but as I only brew for distilling these days it has never been an issue, even with other yeasts trying to commandeer the brew in the final stages of ferment.
Sorry to hear of your loss.

No worries. I vaguely remember reading something about green apples taste/acrid smell and I think I carried contamination from the fruit wine/cider over to the other stuff. I'm sure I could have distilled it and it'd have mellowed out in about a year as some sort of brandy/whiskey hybrid, but better to be rid and start over.
My other fun today was trying to hook up T500 cooling to the bath tap and discovering I'd stripped the plastic thread off the tap and don't have another tap in the flat that it would connect to.
(OK in theory I could pull out the washing machine and connect it there at high risk of divorce).
The half inch fitting on the T500 is a different threading than standard and only really connects to the supplied 3/4" adapter.
So as a handless, impractical person I had the fun of explaining to the spotty kid in screwfix that I needed a 3/4 back to 1/2" adapter thingummy and a 1/2" to 1/2" same sex thingummy (which I now know is called a hex nipple) so I could unscrew a shower head from the hose and attach the T500 hose instead.
I just know you are going to line up and tell me about easier ways.

You could buy a washing machine tap kit and place it somewhere convenient.

Which is what I did for a few years, until our building works. The only thing I never got round to was getting one of those pressure reduction valves.
With out the PRV, it just made the adjustment on the needle valve very sensitive i.e. a 16th of a turn on the needle valve was enough to change the condenser temp by 5 degrees C......
But I managed to work with it........
