That is the point Phantom, by the time it is liquid enough to work with, it will only produce a very weak wash.

It was more of a case of me "thinking aloud" on the possibility etc. Having not done grain batches and no knowledge or experience of how the enzyme would need to be used.

So a sort of "learning curve" (for me) crossed with a cost benefit analysis (cos I'm always on the lookout for better "value" for fermentables).

Getting my head around how all this works etc (I would have had the same pit falls as others).........
