Essencia Carbon Filter very slow or impatient?

Postby hic52 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:25 pm

Just arrived today and followed the instructions about priming and filling with 3 lts water.

2 hours later turned the tap and nothing, thought i maybe had an airloc, so carefully lifted out the inner container and there was water in the base but not as far as the tap.
Does it normally take this long or is it just cause the filters have just been primed - my other thought was maybe i do have an airloc in the ceramic filter and the water in the base is from the carbon filter draining?
any ideas guys and gals - nice piece of kit though

I Found it better to put the carbon filter in a bowl of RO water to soak until there was no sign of air coming to the surface. I can't remember for certain how long it took but now I just stick it in the night before I'm going to use it and leave it overnight.
