Mini Kegs

Postby Icefever » Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:15 am

I picked up a couple of these mini kegs last week as I like a pint of Hobbi....and they were a good price.

I've had a look around on youtube, also found where I can (if I go along with it) find the top bungs and a small c02 injector.

My setup is...if I want a pint, I take the keys out to the brew house, unlock it, pull a pint from the keggerator then lock up and return in doors.

This can be a PITA when it's p**sing down with rain...I can't bring a corny in doors as Swmbo wouldn't like it ....so I'm thinking make a brew and fill maybe a couple then I can keep one in the fridge in the utility room...a win win.

Have any of you brewers on here ever used these mini kegs??
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Been there.
I use some old fashioned mini kegs. Had them for years. Think they are called erm bottles :D Sorry

Bottles from bottle bank.
Prime bottles with zivro
Recycle the caps.
Asda bottle bags are 50p & hold 6 neatly in the house

IMO quick as kegging if you include the time spent messing with mini kegs.
... And i hate the rain issue too
