Anyone see where this would improve or not?

I should have said would it be an improvement to add this 24 inch packed copper extension?

I was thinking the same thing today edwatters.
I'm after more refluxing and wondered if a packed extension would work.
How did you make the joints for the extension?

I welded a two inch Ferrell to the lid on the t500 and also to the bottom of the column of the t500

I have to state that most of my knowledge is theoretical.
Making a bigger/taller column has to promote reflux,doesn't it?
And packing it must help?
Strange,most of the usual helpful folk are absent.
I reckon a useful opinion may be here soon.

Thx Jedi, I figured the same but I haven't seen anyone do this so just thought I would ask.

So I tried to run some stripped through this concoction today and found that the t500 isn't strong enough to push the product through all the packing. I wasn't able to stabilize the temp. I am going to attach it to the keg with the 3500 watt element and see if it will work.

I hadn't considered the T500's low power,not owning one.
Best of luck with running,and stabilising using more power.
