I know kegs are the preferred route but I've no shed and it would look ugly in the kitchen. So I've pretty much decided on using a baby burco boiler and am fancying going with new.

About £115 delivered which keeps me under budget for the build. Budget = price of t500.

Is the aluminium lid a big no-no?

How do users of them seal the lid?

YHB did a water boiler conversion and you'll find it here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1041 Don't be put off by the complexity of his build you won't have to do anything similar unless you want to. However, he clearly solved the lid sealing problem and he's you man.

BTW I think an Aluminium lid would be a big problem :-\

Even better, found a seller on the bay that does them for £87 delivered!

A used one has just sold for £54.87 with £12.50 p+p. So less than £20 difference between new and used.

No contest, I've just ordered a new one. :)
