The site says 'up to' £6.50 discount on shipping for orders £65 or more. That's 37 packs of VS so may as well get get 40. Tried to do checkout but they don't have that quantity in stock.

At least their site blocks out of stock orders. The failure of a site to do that has stuffed me up with other hobbies. Props to the owner for that.

Never seen the reason for such a thing myself.
I would be eager to see you post a comparison between a use and non-use,should you ever feel the need to post one.
Robert.

Hi,Robert. I would be quite comfortable not using it with sugar wash's ie: vodkastar, lentil/splitpea. but certainly not with concoctions ive been doing lately, as i use the t500 boiler a 20-24ltr wash doesn't leave a lot of head space, going by my last strip. malt/molasses/cereal it tried like a good one to climb out the boiler, the evidence was there when i lifted the lid. That was a 20ltr wash. so i think i'll play safe for now.

When stripping an All Grain or Corn wash an anti foam is essential kit. 99 strips may go perfectly well but it's the one that pukes that you'll always remember 'cause it takes sooo long to clean up after it ::)

Let us know how that one works BD ;)

Whatever works for you.
There's nonsense,guidelines,and rules.
Very few are written in stone.
My strips have a metre climb up the column before escaping,so I am a little blase (just imagine the accent on the e there, this keyboard won't accomodate!

What can i say,it does what it says on the label, its more economic than the S/S stuff, only need about 1.5 ml. per 24ltr strip, obviously you cant see whats going on in the boiler, i;m happy with the result.

Sure is.

What do you prefer now?

For me, VS is the one because the final product is good enough to get no complaints from me and friends, plenty of suppliers and I don't have do anything other than open the packet. Am having trouble imaging how much better the finished product would have to be for me to get involved with a diy wash.
