Hi Guys
I've been wondering over the past few days about Glycerin and if it possible to ferment it, I beleve its a simple sugar of sorts, it has hardly any taste to it, I was just wondering if it could be fermented, might make a clean neutral spirit, although it would be very expensive to get enough to make a couple of washes, I guess I'm just thinking out loud.
Might use a little vegetable glycerine the I have for my electronic cigarette and mix up a little bottle to see if it ferments.

In wine-making, it is accepted as a good additive for a little bit of sweetness, but also (& more importantly) it adds mouth feel or body. typically half a teaspoon to the gallon Been finished product.
You can add it at any time without stabilisers, metabisulphite, sobates or filtering, because it does not ferment.
I buy it by the litre for eFags & wine. cheap to cheap and good quality on eBay. I have a link to a good supplier - beware some people will water it down.
... and recently put too much in the gallon of run. Bu33er -

@ Anavrin,it does sound expensive,
And while tasting sweetish and smooth,I don't think that there is much in there at all for yeasties to eat.
