Easy converter for lid
Thought I'd post this bit of info for any new guys that have the T500 and are thinking about maybe building a new column.
It's a simple and easy way that turns the lid into the possibility of using different sections...a sight glass, plated section, gin basket, whatever you may think of.
All it takes is a nut, 2" straight connector, a short length of 2" copper pipe and a 2" ferrule.
Tools will be a gas torch, lead-free solder, flux, and emery paper.
The photos show how it all fits.

Then using 2" tri clover clamps, away you go....This is one of my main setups converter, torpedo, and sight glass.

I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Cheers Robert...
I know from past experience that sometime when you want to change an item of kit, you stumble upon a thread that's just what you need.
If it helps anybody along the road we travel with this hobby of ours that'll do me.
