Gervin Universal Wine Yeast

HI All.
im startting a wash tonight and was gonna use wine yeast. im not sure of the max alcohol output so does anyone know how how much sugar is should use? i was gonna use 26 litres and follow the double distil method.

If you're intending to use wine yeast and sugar you'll also need to add nutrients. ;)

Go here http://www.stillsmart.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=663 and read all then you'll have the best recipe for nutrients for keeping your yeasties really happy ;D while they make lots and lots of nice alcohol for you to distill. ;)

Will my yeast be able to consume 7kg of sugar

Probably not, that is a lot for regular wine yeast. Champagne yeast might make it. Even 6 Kg might be pushing it. And pushing it often leads to bad tastes. 5 Kg is safe, but you get less alcohol. 5Kg in 23L is what I aim for.
