Timer Warning
Normally, when stripping my wash, I Have always kept an eye on things. However, more recently I decided that I would get my timer out and use that so I can have runs completed whilst in bed or at work. I have found that this was a great use of time(r) and meant that my wash was stripped much faster than usual.
Last night, I had finished stripping the whole wash with the exception of about 2.5 litres. Naturally, I needed to keep an eye on things manually since I knew the times would be different. Everything went fine however, I was due to go to bed so thought I'd leave the clean up till the next day.
My mistake had been using the timer when I didn't need to - It was easier to turn it on then unplug it.
In my defence, before I started using it, I had reset it - I think it was a mistake to believe that a reset would do just that. Unbeknownst to me, there was still a schedule set on one of the timers.
The next morning, I was wandering downstairs thinking that it was strange to smell thank funky left over wash smell. I saw a few dribbles under my air still which I did think was a little more than usual (normally I put my pot under the drip to catch these remnants - why I didn't this time I'l never know.
Walking through the kitchen, I then realised that the counter top was wet.
Yes, the timer had come on and proceeded to dispense all over the place.
Fortunately, the cut out did its job and my airstill is working without problems. The black gunk on the bottom cleaned off (mostly) and all is right in the world again. Just the mop up that was annoying.
So, a lesson for everybody. Make sure you turn off your timer when you have finished :-)

Re: Timer Warning
I've thought of putting a timer on my Airstill as it always takes about the same time to strip a batch but I wouldnt dare leave it overnight, guess you won't be doing that again lol

Re: Timer Warning
I have deleted all of the programs now so I know it'll be safe going forward :-)
When I did leave it over night in the past, the count down overrode the time so it turned off.
This time, since nothing was running, the timer kicked in.
I am now fairly sure that it wouldn't happen again :-)
