Simple (cheap) filter :)
Every year I make strawberry vodka http://www.stillsmart.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=341
but one of the problems is filtering it afterwards - it ends up quite thick and takes ages to filter. Last year I 'cured' the problem by using three jugs, three sieves and three coffee filter papers at the same time. Not really fixing the problem but at least it took a third of the time !
I've tried using a cafetiere to filter it with no success
I only got about 2 litres done last year and I was left with about 2 litres that I didn't have time to filter. So...
One of my friends had some spare copper pipe so I pinched the end of my Z-filter, a bit of PFTE tape and a couple of bits of plywood later I had this up and running

I might need to add a layer or two of coffee filter paper in the bottom but right now the weight in the column is pushing the spirit through easily enough.
I'll leave it overnight and see what I get

Nice, hope you don't have anyone knock it over mind, wouldn't fancy the cleanup on that!
