OK it's me again with a newbie question :-) three days after adding turbo clear there is no sign of clearing. What do I do next?

Ed I am not an expert at this but have found out that followint the directions of the Turbo yeasts is not the best way to go , I was just as eager to get a batch on the go and did it 4 times before seeking better advice,,

so was it a turbo wash with the carbon added?

Yes I added carbon because t500 instructions said too. Can I do a sugar wash suitable for the t500 without using the carbon or will my final product quality suffer?

mate, IMHO the only thing that will 'suffer' here may be your LHBS.

My plan for clearing:
1. Stir/beat out the CO2
2. Wait
3. Add Sparkleoid if you want to wait a bit less.

Chill, could it be possible that I didn't get all the gas out? If so do I go ahead and stir it good again?

Yes, it is possible that there is too much gas and that is keeping the yeast suspending. It also may have not stopped fermenting yet. Beating the gas out again won't hurt in either case.

Degas thoroughly
Wait 24 Hours
Degas again - then if you want add a clearing agent.

If using something like turbo clear, you have to stir it in very gently else it destroys the structure and doesn't work effectively.

I normally just a combo of a paint stirrer and bubbling lots of air into the wash to displace the CO2 - only because I had a large air pump anyway.

I also use this for oxygenating the wash before pitching.

Thx Capt. I will heed your advise on the next wash. I think I will buy a couple more fermenter buckets and get some more started. I currently have one tpm going and two sugar washes.:-) :-)

I checked the wash this morning at it appears to be beginning to clear. Top two inches are clear or are clearing. Few more days I guess. Next time I will spend more time degassing before I put in the clearing agent. After all the input everyone has done to help me figure this out this is what I be live I did wrong. Practice makes perfect :-)

if possible put the wash somewhere cold on a concrete
floor

Its on my garage floor however its in the 70s here so that is the coldest place I have. Thx for the hint
