It sorted me out no end.... 8) I was reading loads of posts and the how 2's but the main form of help was from asking questions which were all answered in a friendly helpful manner that then helped me out no end... One day I hope I can help others regarding distillation like I have with beer brewing for years on various forums.. ;)

But I also know how the same boring mundane questions keep getting asked time & time again because the posters are too lazy to do a simple search from site resources, this can then start to grate away at you as it has on from time to time regarding beer brewing....

If nothing else since doing spirits it's taught me to be more patient and polite when a newbie wanting to make beer is asking a seemingly simple question because I now know it's so easy to forget where we started from in any hobby or skill.

It does,to me, seem that in this age of internet browsers, some people have an expectation of asking a question, and receiving an immediate satisfactory response.
And if not,why not?
Sometimes, you just have to do a little work yourself.
You cannot just Google it.

AidanMac wrote:Much of the basics are covered in the various booklets here on our own forum at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3436 for beginners. Coupled with our own recipe thread I think almost everything is there for the newcomers ;) The only thing missing is a booklet on Fermenting Basic and All Grain washes. Any volunteers?

Happy to have a go. What do you see are the headings?
