1 Gallon whiskey Bottle Caps

Hi guys
can anyone inform me as to where I can buy screw top bottle caps for 1 gallon Bells whiskey bottles,

clearing out late fathers home we came across 4 such bottles but no lids/caps, I bottle had the original cork, so am short 3 screw on caps,

I have contacted Bells but they say there is no call for the gallon bottles and so do not hold stock any longer,

been on google and contacted couple firms but no luck,

my intensions is to fill the bottles with my product and store them away for when I have departed this earth, so folk can have drink on me lol

if someone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

most lids are in metric sizes measure the thread section and then look up bottle caps...

one of two sizes have thread variations as well...

IME they will have been stelvin caps. Give up now while you still have your sanity. Buy some cork bungs.

Shape a chunk of cork, insert it, upend the bottle top into molten wax.
Job done.

I have a half gallon whisky bottle and use a standard demijohn cork which you should be able to get from any homebrew shop for around 15p.

Love the molten wax suggestion.

good tuppence worth of yours, a I gallon Demijohn bung does fit ok, doesn't quite look the business with the screw thread exposed, but maybe different covered in wax.

HaHa, I would not image my father bought the bottles full,

he was a homemade ( by the dustbin full ) Rhubarb wine drinker,

I can remember drinking Rhubarb wine from my babies bottle when I was a toddler, ( well nearly ) where's the liar's bench lol
