Posted: Mon Apr 18, 2011 12:17 amHi to all. I\'m new to the Smart (Air) Still but not to brewing. I brew beer, cider, wine and now spirits. Getting bored with the wine as it takes too long to get good quality but really impressed with the air still. I\'m running through my 2nd wash as I type having been very impressed with results 1st time around and with the flavourings. However, this time I used Alcotec 48 (yes I know air still only recommend their own products for obvious reasons!) and the result is a much smoother tasting base spirit. I\'ve armed myself with 1 litre bottles so I don\'t have the problem of calculating 750mls and so far I\'m very satisfied with the result. By the way, if you\'re feeling flushed Ikea sell flip top 1 ltr bottles for £2. Hubby is very happy with his gin, I love the brandy, whisky and rum and the coconut rum flavour is just yummy.
