Sweet Tasting Nectar

Postby vino-tinto » Tue Jan 28, 2014 1:36 pm

I normally run my washes through a reflux first, but today I decided to run a low ABV lentil wash through my T500 pot head.
The first litre I added to some more strip, after which I decided to have a taste, WOW, it is the best tasting sweet whiskey base I have made. I took off another 2 litres which worked out at 54%, to that I added some Bourbon chips to mature for a month or two.
The rest of the run I added again to the strip I had for a neutral spirit run later.
5kg sugar + 400g red lentils + 50g Allinsons green tin yeast, left to clear naturally.
Always give the hardest job to the laziest person because they will always find the easiest way to do it.
