The spirit run its self is 3 generations(6,7&8) of
My UJSSM, striped on the same kit.So 17ltrs of strip,
5ltrs dunder & 3 water. All mixed 32%.
In the biler, about 15 large copper coins, not as
important as on strip run.
so my run.
Jar 1 280ml FORES
Jar 2 @70% 1000ml 86c
Jar 3 @68% 400ml 86c
Jar 4 @64% 400ml 86.2c
Jar 5 @64% 400ml 86.6c
jar 6 @62% 400ml 86.7c
Jar 7 @60% 400ml 87.2c
Jar 8 @60% 500ml 87.8c
Jar 9 @58% 850ml 88.7c
Jar10 @56% 850ml 89.6c
Jar11 @55% 850ml 90.6c
Jar12 @53% 850ml 91.8c
Jar13 @48% 350ml 92.7c
Jar14 @46% 350ml 93.3c
Jar15 @43% 350ml 93.9c
Jar16 @40% 350ml 94.6c
Bored now so shut off. 8.3ltrs plus the fores collected.
Just had a quick finger dippy into Jar 9 and quite sweet!!
You can almost see where the cuts will be made, but not
going to let that cloud my judgment.
Hope this may be of help to anyone flying one of these for
the first time.
I would make an upgrade and thats fit a power commander.
It does tend to fall out very quickly at the beginning.
Whole run took just over 3hrs start to Finnish.

I bit my lip on a snappy, humorous response there, as I value your post too highly.
Thanks for doing it.
Robert.

I just thought I was seeing double again.

edit : just noticed your jar numbers are off. I'd originally thought the joke was about the biler v boiler typo.
Anyway, I'm guessing hearts start at 87 degrees and run through to 92 degrees so jars 7 to 12.

What can I say?
I just love to see information shared.
Typo's and miss numbering included.
We are all human, (exepting the bots and the machines).

Have to say I'm seriously interested in the maths/chemistry of this.
Stripping run temps are presumably not consistent as the recipe and remaining sugar would distort things a lot.
On spirit runs, the T500 manufacturers claim hearts are between 85 and 90 on the pot still and I get between 87 and 92 with no copper dome, so I'm really interested if Gaza gets 87-92 like me or maybe 86-91 with copper dome. I'm sure 85-90 is too early at full power.

Spot on jar 6 I hummed and haaed, but I make so much of this I said no.
This spirit is a good base for lots of different experiments.

As I said dont have a power controller yet. The speed
with which the distillant runs out is like a waterfall.
400ml jars take 2-3mins.That is why I want one, but
will it bring better quaily

With a power controller and running at say half power, you'll get much better separation with decreased smearing, so a small increase in quality and a substantial increase in quantity of hearts.

Yes as I thought. Cheers for info.

Thats why I want a power controller. At full
power stripping runs 25ltrs take about 3hrs.
Thats 1hr to warm up and 2hrs to spit out
between 5 and 6ltrs. About 1 ltr per 20mins.

That does seem fast, winding down the power,I get about a litre and a half of strip an hour on my established routine.
Not saying that my way is the best way..
