I found these in JTF a few weeks ago, I've been using one in the kitchen sink for a while and I believe they are 100% pure copper, apart from a small metal clip holding it all together in the middle, unfortunately I can't remember what they cost but they were only £1-£2 a pack from what I can remember, plus a search the JTF website didn't find them :(

The one on the right has been well used, can't see any steel shining through so I'm assuming it's pure copper.

I have to say the SS ones are my 'go to' product for bottle label removal (after a good soak).

Other that as packing what are the copper ones for ?

Just as column packing, I've looked for them many times over the last year or so but only ever found them online from America

Nice find.
When using scrubbers as column packing, I used to pack the column with stainless with a single roll of copper mesh in the fitting between the column and the boiler. Mostly so I could take it out easily and clean it. The copper does go black and horrible over time.
