Labelling
OK,here is one that may make people smile.
Denigrative to myself,but generally I don't give a fig.
So three weeks ago I went away to work.
I left an un-labelled bottle of something in the kitchen, because I would remember what it was.
Tonight was fry a battered fish night, and bottle contents had the viscosity of reserved, once used,Sunflower oil.
It wasn't.
It was highly concentrated sugar syrup, left over from my last Southern Comfort clone sweetening.
The batter fell off the fish and formed sweet caramelish lumps, but the fish came out tasting OK,if a little sweet.
Hester Blooming,try that one.
My lesson learned tonight is to write on the bottle what it really contains, and if this tale causes just one of you to do the same,it is worth the shame!
