Rules and Parameters here have softened in the last couple of years.
If I understand this right -
Primarily this site wants to help you, inform you and keep you safe from bad practice.
What is posted here is not necessarily the way to go, but usually the best way, after consensus by other users.
And you sometimes have to read around a bit to make your own decision upon what may work for you.
The site is not saying do this, it is saying that if you do this, try it this way it has so far proved safe.
Many people have come together here, over many years, to share pooled knowledge.
And as for rules.
If posters remain courteous to all others and refrain from too much profanity, I for one will allow them free reign.
But as one of the deputies, I will dispatch the Bad Guys.

and a small explosion is preferable to a large explosion so go easy and stay out of trouble.

No explosion at all is the way to go.

Leaving aside exploding 25litre condom washes etc, I must have been really lucky.
I bought a 2nd hand airstill, chucked a dozen or so coins in, some of which are copper and some new, and have never had a single problem.
I do run it a few inches below a shelf so it could lift but not explode, but it never has.
