Browned off

Postby Almanac » Tue May 28, 2013 6:54 pm

I spent 20 minutes writing a post about something that went wrong with a stripping run today and looking for input from you guys as to what might have gone wrong, clicked preview, to make sure I didn't leave anything out, and the whole thing just vanished :o

That's happened 8 times over the past three weeks.

Bad enough when a strip goes wrong but when your forum turns on you too it's time to chillax and take a break.

Damn Aidanmac

I'd take that as a sign that you need to take a step back and enjoy some of your hard earned home produce.

I know that I am ;P

I have had the same thing happen, but managed to click the "back" button in my browser and copy and paste my post..It's not just you, so don't feel victimized lol.

Best course of action would be to use a text editor or word pad to construct the message and save frequently.
Then it's just a matter of copy and paste.
That way the message is always there until you delete it.
This works well for long messages.

Hey Uber, I'm doing that tonight ;D

@ Scarecrow: that's not a bad idea. Usually I just waffle but if I have anything I think is useful or worthwhile I'll use a text editor in future.

@ Frank: the wash ended up too acidic, pH3.4, and when I ran it through the stripper I got 8l @ 40% from 42l at 11% that's what I call a shit yield. ::)

Back to basics for me. I need to get my ferments right so I'm getting a reliable return from each wash. Too many experiments and messing around ::)

I've been having ferment troubles too lately. I think I have it tracked down to some weak / nearly dead EC-1118. I got new yeast from a different place yesterday and things are bubbling merrily along. ;D
