initial T500 confusion.......

Ok, so I\'ve followed the instructions thus far.
I\'m left with 2 small screws, 2 sticky (double sided ?) pads and a small plastic bracket that seems to have a hole, but also a slot that seems to have a drilled/moulded circular hole down the length of the slot. These items aren\'t mentioned in the instructions so I have no idea what they\'re for.....
Also, not only do I not have a tap with a diffused mesh that can be removed, but I also don\'t have a tap that would take a push fit connector either.
I have a tap with a washing machine connector thread, which I suspect has a different thread (too late to check now). Though I\'m wondering if a washing machine connector hose would work or not ?
Any answers or suggestions would be brilliant....

Hum? Well I watched the DVD that came with the still, but it doesn\'t enlighten me any further, in fact it throws up a question of where the hell are the \"bag of adapters\" that apparently (according to the DVD anyway) supposed to come with it ???
Still got no idea about the sticky pads, little screws and little plassy bracket (all of which, seemed to come with the thermometers).....

I never got a DVD, but mine was fully assembled when I got it.

I just had to stick the temp sensor in and the packing in the column.

I just got a T500 and an EZ filter on Friday and spent Friday night and yesterday assembling and doing 3 runs.
Yes I had some leftovers in the pack, but they are spare mounts from the thermometer pack and nothing to do with the T500 set up, I also had bother with the cold water connection, but jerry rigged something to get me over the weekend. Couldn’t sort the problem out on the first run to B&Q, but there is plenty of time.
I found balancing the water input a bit fiddle, but I managed and got my 3 runs through the still no bother. The EZ filter is still running and doing a way fine and my demijohn collection of 40% is looking good.
All in All, I am a happy bunny, good kit, easy to operate and the product is just perfect.

Yeah, got that one. Thanks for the response pips2000.
@ Andy and Pyro, well it looks like I'll need the 20 mm BSP tap connector so I've just ordered one. I'll still have to jury rig something i.e. I'll have to get another washing machine hose and then a tap to connect that too, which will then give me the thread to put the tap adapter onto. The only downside (well, not really) is that I'll have time to brew another wash which I'll put on today. Maybe if I had a kitchen tap that had a jet/diffuser that could be removed it would have been easier, but it'll be cheaper sorting it this way.
The DVD is just a basic "how it works/how it's done" thing by the same people who've done the bits on youtube etc.
I'm looking forward to firing it up, and it's just a bit of a pain that I'm having to sort out these extra bits to run it.
I'll have a look later to see if I can just connect the current inlet set up I've got for my super reflux...... as it'd be handy if I can use that......
TVM for the responses all. Much appreciated...

Hey ho! well the tap adapter has arrived, and it fits brilliantly on a \"washing machine tap\" though I\'m gonna pop down to the hardware/plumbing store to see if they have a \"female to mail\" extension pipe, as the normal washing machine pipes are female to female. I\'d like to have easy access to the needle valve, for easy control of the water flow. At the moment, it would be down behind the washing machine and a bit of a bugger to get to, to alter it, especially if the still is hot......
Either way, looking forward to firing the new T500 up.......
