Fermentemp temperature controller

I started a new turbo yeast sugar wash about a week ago and although it has been bubbling away slowly, the hydrometer reading was still way high after a week.

Guessing that it might be too cool, I decided to use my Fermentemp temperature controller that I bought from Ellie-Claire's brewshop for the first time.

After just a couple of hours, and the temperature slowly rising, the wash is bubbling away like a good'un now. Well chuffed!!

Anyone else use one of these devices? And if so, are you pleased with it too?

Glad it got your brew going. I use a fish tank heater myself - fit and forget ;D

Cheers

I'm still new to this so everything is an exciting learning experience. I was amazed at how quick it's made a difference before it's even got up to the temperature I dialled in :-)

I have one of the STC 1000 controllers in my fermenting fridge, I've just ordered two more that I'll get from the post office tomorrow for my new fermenting cabinet, I'm going to see if my 60litre bucket will fit in the bottom and have my new conical suspended above it, each will be individually controlled.
