Foreshots - a slightly different use...

Postby MrCat » Tue Dec 21, 2010 9:51 pm

Over time it\'s easy to accumulate a quantity of foreshots.
I found a new use for them last night. I\'d run out of screen de-icer for the car so I headed to the garage and they had none. Then it became obvious - seeing as how screen de-icer is basically denatured alcohol (with a few other bits) then the foreshots should do the job. Poured them into the old de-icer hand pump, mixed in a little water so it\'s not quite as flammable and gave it a go. Works a treat :)
What other unusual uses for foreshots have you found ??

Foreshots - a slightly different use...

probably a mix of equal quantity of foreshot, washing up liquid (cheapo one) and the same amount of vinegar. Then just double it with water. That should give it a hoover ability (beats as it sweeps as it cleans)......
You know what I mean, the forshots stop any freezing, the soap cleans a bit, the vinegar helps prevent any streaking marks and the water does the rinsing bit.
I\'d guess that you might need to meddle with the formula a bit, but it seems to work in a spray bottle as a screen cleaner and de-icer....
