What I Did Today

Today I spent some time reacquainting myself with Windows 7.
Home again.
I killed the last laptop with spilt drink once more, never liked 10 anyway.
I possess 4 older laptops, with varying spilt drink capabilities.
I decided upon a re-furb replacement this time.
When they stop supporting 7, I will consider Linux.

All my computers are Windows 7. It is easy to understand and runs well, like XP it will probably be good for years after Microsoft stop supporting it.

I have in fact previously posted a list of ingredients in another thread.

If doing a gin interests you, I was first motivated by a thread Gaza started, 'Boodles Gin', in the Recipes Section.

My own is simply a slight variation on this. I can't say that I've finished experimenting yet.

The sky's the limit guys. Can not remember which
supermarket but one is doing Hortus Gin, there
are about 5 flavours. If you look at the label
on the bottle it lists the major bots.Put them
in your Gin calculator and have a play. Yumm yum.
Rather have a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy

Today I got quite hammered helping a friend celebrate a birthday that they consider one to far.
I did try saying that in another twenty years, they will have my vantage point.
She said "Fuck Off!"
Maybe tomorrow I will have the corpus mentus to post something usefull.

Found this bottle at the back of the pub

with some SS Gin essence and a few drops of very very violet and some lavender purple colouring you get this, and it tastes just right for the the young lady of the house and her palls.

Today, or rather over the weekend I’ve been enjoying my “lazy Bacardi”

It’s started out as lazy Rum, there’s a tread on here somewhere when I made it, basically it was a molasses and sugar wash and I didn’t bother measuring anything, no temperatures no SG, just chucked it in some buckets and fermented it, hence the name.

It was pot stilled twice before being put on oak for around a year ish I’m guessing.

Anyway it’s found it’s way through my essencia filter and has come out as a lovely light White Rum.

Very Bacardi Esk, just in time for Xmas

I spent most of today outside, putting tups to ewes, in the cold and rain.
I don't know how they do it, - too cold for me.
Anyway, I came indoors and looked at the vats of sloe gin and Damson vodka and thought to myslf, "they will be warming", smacked myself across the wrist, told myself to wait awhile longer and instead headed for the bootleg bailey's.
What a way to end the day.

While having a tidy up yesterday, found a gallon of whiskey from my early days.

Will have to have a sample and see what's what.
To bottle or bin, that is the question.
