My CM

I'm doing a spirit run of some single malt and got bored so I took a happy snap of my set up.

It's a 4" CM, twin coils, 2" shottie and a short leibig.

I can run it in strip mode by swapping the coils. (one is short the other long).
I can remove the reflux coil for potstill mode.
I can run in reflux mode for 92% neutral. The column is not long enough for azeotrope.
It strips at about 8 litres per hour, spirit runs at about 3 lph. I found the sweet spot to be about 2.5 lph.

Beautiful SC - does it have a refill port? Just asking as wondering if its tricky to fit that still head on your own?

It doesn't have a refill port or a drain port. Both are absolutely necessary with this thing. Problem is it's too expensive so it got put in the must do later basket.

I have a silicon gasket to the keg, so fitting the column is a PITA. It's not heavy, it's just awkward. The slippery gasket doesn't help either.
One day. Maybe.

You need a block & tackle to hold all that equip and help control lowering it onto the keg safely - that's some serious Coolant Management SC
