Back on track...

Postby Icefever » Sat Oct 22, 2016 9:44 am

I'm getting back on track with my fruit wine making...I've been a wee bit lackadaisical over the last 6 months.

After making 1 gall each of crabapple, rhubarb, & banana....I've now got a gall of plum on the go..after a soak & rinse, cut in half and remove stones.

Two days later I have a DJ almost full, and a litre in a small bottle for top up later.

How day do that?
I had a glut of plums a few summers ago. Found a recipe for Slivovice and it got me hooked on this Hobbes.

4 still builds and some whiskey/rum/vodka runs later, those plums are still in my freezer.

Go for it....find a recipe for plum wine, and have a go. If you want do half as wine,..and run the other through the still.
