Mixing Dextrose and Sugar
I was wondering if you can make a wash with a combination of Dextrose and Sugar ?

A worthy question at last!
Yes, you can use such a mix. Dextrose is more readily fermentable than raw white sugar but
it is more expensive.

I recall that Dextrose will produce slightly less alcohol per unit of weight than white sugar.

Thanks for the replies. I had some Still Turbo Sugar left over from my initial purchase of the '500' still, and did not want to waste it. I find that Caster Sugar works as well, is a lot cheaper, do not need to use as much for the same ABV, and does not have the pesky carbon in it that to me seems to be a waste of time !
