Aging - but not liquor

Was just wondering what people's average age is on here, I guess there's no need to be specific if no one wants to, maybe just give a range in 10's or mid something's, I'm mid 30's :)

Think it'll be interesting because we all probably have an idea of how old we think each other are and I bet we are totally wrong lol

Good idea Anarvin. I guessed you'd be one of the younger members but I figured young round here would be mid 40's. I imagine this forum as an online version of Menzshed http://menzshed.org.nz/. Lots of retired engineers with pen protectors and lab coats. My distilling outfit is black gumboots (Wellingtons) and black overalls. Think Walter White without the chemistry. Mid 50's (110% proof)

Anavarin,Mr FS snuck in while I was tapping,but as you saw from my asking if it was your child or grandchild on the way,I had no idea of your age!
Has the little beggar arrived yet? Seems you have various late deliveries....
And will not have as much time to post on here in coming weeks,unless you can tap with one hand and bottle feed with the other..

Before I saw this,I replied to Mr F S,if you read that,you will have gathered we are somewhat older.
Me 55,he I think a little more advanced in years.
Reading,through the posts of regulars,I think it is possible to age bracket most regulars that have been here a while,and some of the seniors are indeed senior.
The site owner is somewhere between you and I.
It is good that here,this is not an ageist thing,and that enthusiastic newcomers/relative "youngsters" can make contributions as valid as "old timers".
It will be interesting to see how this thread may develop.

Times move on.

Robert.

Yup years my age range too !

Do you listen to Steve Wright on radio 2 (as I sometimes do when out and about at work) he's doing a feature called 'do you remember ' which apart from the inane music at the start does remind you of earlier times

Definately getting old ! ;)

Ah yes, I forgot to answer ED's question about son or grandson

Son number 2 is still not here yet, but my other half is still on the delivery suit, 3 days later, she's caught a form of viral meningitis in the very last stage of pregnancy, they can't decide wever to get the boy out before or after she's better!

NHS changes it mind every 12hrs, every time there's a shift change!!!

At the moment I can't make or drink booze :( very sad times lol

@Anavrin:
You must be exhausted! I cannot even imagine, how this must feel. I myself had 3 c-sections, they are not easy. Best wishes to you and your wife!

@all:

Sorry, to not have introduced myself properly, I am the wife of Michael/ SDEurope and concerning this thread: we are 44 and 43 years old, and yes, I took a younger man, they are more fun than the older ones ;)

Been stilling for nearly 7 years and still learning. 58, decrepit, balding, ailing, lunatic. Retired 7 years from military life of 35 years and still wake up for Revellie every morning.....damn it!

Not too many teenagers around then!

I'm 63. First distillation was about 25 years ago but me and my mates really didn't know what we were doing. Many evenings spent discussing what was causing the bad taste and smell. I know now that we were doing strip runs then drinking it. Ugh!
