FLAMING NORA..... waterco's more expensive than essencia lol..

i just looked at this thing that id just lashed 80 large on and thought....." fck me its tiny"..

i did expect it being bigger lol...then the penny pincher in me made me do a search for the cheapest filters and i came across that site.

then i looked at it and thought that I'm sure i could make a bigger version..

*QUESTION FOR AIDENMAC*.... you questioned my filter system that i built my self out of water treatment filters and sort of told me that "it wasn't built for filtering spirit as it leaches chemicals out of the plastic"that I'm sure was backed up by jimmy.....now that actually made me think that you had something there and i looked at other filters and everyone raged about the essencia filter...

now i was lead to believe that the essencia was a purpose built spirit filtering system but it seems I'm wrong....

its nothing but a water treatment system and that makes me return to the things you said to me about my home brew carbon filter that i made myself out of water treatment filters that i filled with carbon...

so where do we go from here?..... i got told that my water treatment filter wasn't suitable for spirit yet the essencia filter is just a water filter??

al.
oooooooh my head.....

They do say if your filtering anything above 40% to replace the lid with a dinner plate - so I'm guessing the rest of it is made of resistant plastics.

I happily use platinum cured silicon and PTFE in my still - looking at the chemical resistance charts, there should be no problem.

But I guess the only way to know for sure what something is made of is to build one yourself. I do have one of these filters and have no concern using it, although an all stainless number would be nice.
