Home-made Rum Flavouring
Just seen this posted by Geoff Burrows on the New Distillers group, thought I\'d share (haven\'t tried it, anyone care to give it a go and report back?) :
Rich Dark Spiced Rum 2
Total Ingredients:-
150ml 50 % Abv Alcohol
45 ml of whiskey(for that subtle flavour)
(3 Tbs) 45ml dark Molasses (Black Treacle)
(1 Tbs) 15ml of Vanilla Extract store bought
(1 Tbs) 15 ml Cinnamon extract
Approx 1 Litre of 50 % Abv Neutral Alcohol (enough to make it fit the 1 litre bottle
Method
Put all ingredients in a 2 litre Mason jar (should be 1 litre) and
Mix everything well and serve chilled on the rocks
