Nothing to do with distilling, sartorial elegance.
These days I wear a suit and tie maybe twice a year, for the hatched, matched and dispatched.
Have caught a few old movies on TV recently.
Does anyone else think that a double vented suit jacket is just so much better than the more common single vented, version?
OK, for more fashion tips for the illicit distiller see here.

Robert.

My preference was always for very short double vents and no front darts, like classic Napoleon Solo, but these days I wear a suit even less often than you. I don't quite look like that guy in the photo though. At least not yet.

I'd go for the double vents...in fact at the moment I'm looking for a 3/4 length jacket...(not an overcoat).
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Double vent every time.
I do enjoy wearing a suit, by I have to say it is not every day now.
Working from home means I am more concerned daily about weather to have a hood or a shawl collar on my dressing gown

Definitely double-vent. Like others however, I rarely wear a suit. When I do, however, it's a double-vented jacket

I used to wear a suit every day and now for quite some years I'm the complete opposite.
I do find peoples' perceptions of you are different - although I'm really not bothered by it, I know it can make a difference sometimes when you need to influence someone positively.
However - recently - I've been feeling the need to dress smartly again. I think the contemporary gent's mags ("Mens Health", etc) have some very current and classic tips and advice for dressing well.
Short double vents are the way for me. Plus shoes with laces - I cannot abide slip-ons!
Also, I must have a t-shirt/vest under my white shirts. The shirt cloth is so thin: you really shouldn't be able to see a man's nipples!
