Can not remember where I read this one !!
After filtering your Sloe Gin Dont take sloes
out of your jar.
I being greedy made 4 liters so 1 kilo of
sloes.
Added 3 bottles red wine
300g sugar
Seal and shake, shake every day for a week.
Then shake every couple day for 6 more
weeks.Filter into bottles leave some head room.
add 200mls Brandy.
I added Rum to one of mine and 300mls at that.
The Brandy Port Was nice But Dont know how to
put this the Rum Port was Magic ;D

That's an interesting idea - we do a couple of demijohns of damson vodka each year as we have an abundant source of the things - I might have to give that a try this autumn!

When you make the Sloe Port and strain off the liquid do you force the Sloes through a sieve to get everything out of the fruit,or is there some reason this should'nt be done?.

NB I have not made sloe gin or port.

I believe there are many further uses for the sloes https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q ... +after+gin
