Hi all. Just got my Air still kit from Wineworks today after reading on the subject for months. I have just made my first wash so fingers crossed in just over a weeks time I will have some success. Thanks for the great info on here and I am looking forward to many years of fun :)

Been reading the site for a bit ..and wow ! Very impressed ... :)

So much so that I now have a wash on ... and hopefully be purchasing an air still in a couple of weeks (local home brew sells them for £120).. didn't want to be in a position where i got the still then didn't have anything to run through it !

Fairly used to home brewing .. have done kits , odd balls (alcoholic vimto / passing out juice ) and some all grain brewing so looking forward to having a go with spirits :) ... wont mention the ginger beer as still trying to work out how to get the stains off the ceiling ..

No doubt I will be posting lots of silly questions up soon ... !

Iain

Welcome Iain, sounds like you have indeed been paying attention and that kind of attitude will take you far! There's nothing more folorn than a brand new still with nothing to run through it! :)

Sorry we seem to have missed marking your entry Magnu420. Welcome to the forum, even if it is belated ;)

There's a good friendly bunch here, no pretenders, pretentious egotists or maniacal moderators just distillers. Even the Site owner, Jimmy, is a fairly stable guy. :D

If you run into any problems or have any questions, suggestions or observations just post it up there. You'll always get a friendly response and helping hand without the churlish hassle common to many other distilling forums - won't mention any names ::)

Hi I recently stumbled across this forum and was pleased to see a uk based forum for home distillers.
I have been posting on homedistiller .org for nearly three years but sometimes feel a little out of it as the majority of users are US based. Not that i'm moaning as i learnt a lot from there well everthing I know to date to be honest.
So i'm pleased to be apart of this forum with other like minded people and look forward to sharing info and recipes etc.
All the best SH
