For those who've either made or intend making, or even just having pervy dreams of making their own still,

I learned of Jason over at one of the facebook distilling pages, and some of the kit is absolutely brilliant. Some of the prices are eye watering too, but there's some of the stuff shown and/or listed that we'd all be familiar with if looking at making our own beasties....

Hell, seeing the reasonable price of a pot head to go on a keg, I'll be looking into Myles's ideas about home made heater elements with more earnest, rather than letting it languish on my "to do" list.

A keg based pot, with electric heating and not having to cut the hell out of the top of the keg and all that nonsense is now less of a dream and more of a likelihood..........

Ha! I'm now wondering if a nice bubble plate column with 3 or 4 inspection glasses, with maybe a short SPP packed refluxing section above that might work ? maybe I could build a small shotgun condenser ?

I think.they need to work on there pictures, terrible!. Not sure there the best looking stills, they just look a but ruff?. It's not hard to make your own mate, just time and patients!. There's heaps of info out there to build your own to. 3~4 plates with a.packed section on top works great for neutrals and the best rum!. Found Jason still before I registered at CCSC. Whether they're just further along I don't know. Or may Jason a bloke building and so on in his garage or shed. The CCSC offerings seem much more professionally finished.........

either way, both are showing the possibilities and that some of the third party bits are available etc......
