have a look at the still spirits whiskey profile recipe kit

http://www.onestopbarshop.com.au/produc ... ts_id=1233
you dont have to but the full kit, but the brew stores sell the whiskey recipe books individually, altho dont think they have it online but yeah then you can simply buy the ingredients. I don\'t have the recipe on hand.

tastes awesome.
although, I put more colouring (distillers caramel) in it so it looks more substaintal in a glass on the rocks once poured, trick my LHS passed on
alternatively, yeah the still spirits classic finest scotch whisky is a good drop, the ss top shelf irish whiskey and i think essencia have one aswell but i wasnt a fan.

oh yeah,i did forget to mention without buying the profile kit,as i said its for a mate of the F-I-L.So want to try and hit the nail on the head,or as close to it,first time. Not looking for exact clone, but at least something he might enjoy.cheers anyweay mate,i did think of that but would opnly purchase that for myself if i was into my whiskey in a big way,i am more of a bourbon*(JD)drinker.
One of the old guys at work who also makes his own booze likes that classic finest reserve, all he drinks really,so yeah swayed me towards that.

should add, those flavouring costings are based on a per bottle flavouring replacement cost as the recipe is measured by mls, now that is the expensive way of looking at it, buy it in the profile pack and its cheaper even further
flavourings cost per 700ml

Classic - $4.340

Profile - $3.709
