I just leave the in the jar, wet, with the lid on. I don't see a need to dry them. They flavour reduces as you re-use them, with the woody aspect getting more pronounced. As Mash said, twice is good, beyond that you are pushing it.

As chill says leave them wet, but i think if it's the chips akin to
the j/d bbq ones, your not going to get much more out of them. When
i used to use them i thought the second use left a strong woody taste
and not much colour. ''just my opinion'' I have a friend that does do
a second use, he vaccum packs and freezes then when needed he adds a
few more chips to his jars, he makes a half decent drop from this
method.

I'm with chill and Blue_Duck ,try reusing them wet,I don't see anything is gained from drying them.
And maybe go for a small scale test second time around?
To some extent the amount of time they were originally used may influence things.
I make my own "matchsticks" from old whisky barrels and don't consider them worth reusing.

I always have quite a few after the wine is finished. Purple 'cos off the wine and I never rally know what to do with them all.

Bought a glue gun. Considering making a table lamp.

Sometimes, late at night, when I have had a sherbert or two more than I should have, I post absolute tosh, no denying that.
It's good to see that I am not alone.

Certainly a bit more enterprising. I get about 6 - 7 kg of used dominoes each year. Which are people stained from being in the wine.

They are dominoe size.
Any creative ideas welcome.

Just out of self preservation and keeping out of prison, I'd get rid of any people stained dominoes FAST!
