Great plans !

Could the length of 5 be halved ? I imagine it wouldn't impact on the balance much, if at all, but is the length of the head to the start of the condenser critical and 'matched' to the boiler in any way?

To this amateur eye, length of 5 is purely about looks, balance and where the output is.

You could maybe get it to boil across at full tilt with it shorter, but I doubt it.

vt comes and goes when he can and will.
IMHO, the length of 5, on his plan can be halved with no detriment to product.

Sorry I missed this post, been on holiday for ever and a day.
Section 5 is all about balance so as not to distort the thin lid of the T500.
Always give the hardest job to the laziest person because they will always find the easiest way to do it.
