Vodka essences.. worth it?
Now I'm no expert in Vodkas but I am making pretty decent neutral so is it worth using vodka essence? or maybe just some glycerin?

A man after my own heart!
I like my neutral as it leaves the Essencia.
Why would I up the price by another £1.30+ a bottle?
Glycerine is cheap enough to play with.
Flavoured vodkas are another matter, simple enough to make your own, with anything from blackberries to garlic.
Robert.

I suspect the essence is mostly glycerin anyway, any perticular type I should be looking for or is it all the same?

Re: Vodka essences.. worth it?
I bought glycerine from a different seller, but a similar deal, compared to supermarket price of £1.50ish for 100ml.
I've only bought the tennessee (sp?) bourbon flavouring at £4.85 for what was supposed to be for 3 bottles and I used it for more like 5 or 6. I've read reviews of other still spirit/essencia essences that say to use for more than the suggested 3 bottles.
I can't imagine using one for vodka unless they do a bison grass one which I don't think they do. It's not rocket science to add vanilla, chili or anything else to vodka and most of the essences are mostly glycerol with caramel colouring where appropriate.
I'm looking forward to trying the gin essences via son's gf , but no way am I adding 1/3 to a bottle to start with.

I've only used a vodka essence once and that was in some Airstill neural that I wasn't happy with, it did actually improve it and made it palatable, otherwise I think there's a waste of money if you have a half decent reflux still.

I just noticed I used glycerine and glycerol on same comment.
Luckily I didn't confuse silicon and silicone on a different forum.
I think there's fun to be had flavouring unusual spirits, gins and whiskeys and maybe even rums with essences, but honestly can't see the point in vodkas/neutrals.
