I'm making a new, stable ferm environ - thoughts, please?

Great fermentation is the basis for great alcohol.

I'm going back to basics and re-thinking (kiss) what I do - ferm'ing-wise.

I have 3 x 25litre carboys which I use on a rotating basis. I'm thinking of making an insulated box to house these all together with an electric blanket to the back of the box (so that there is no weight on the blanket itself. This blanket will be operated by a thermo-switch. The box will have a pc-fan to vent out the CO2.

I'm hoping this will provide as stable an environment as I can while keeping it simple.

Any thoughts, guys, please?

Thanks, YHB, for the link.

I'm taking two days off this week - Mon and Tues - just to read, read and read some more.

Thanks for your help.

I'm quite happy to have my hot-box full of CO2 as it displaces Oxygen and prevents any chance of a wash developing and infection ;)

I've re-read and re-started a reply to your post a few times, Aidenmac, the simplicity is breath-taking. I shan't ever forget that.
