2nd distillation question!

Hi guys. Quick question. I have a 2 gallon pot still. I do not have a thumper. Was wondering if i do 1 run of my mixed berry brandy, if i can pour it back in with the backset, add some fresh mixed berry juice, and run it again to get more fruit flavor?

Myles is the man on this, he makes fruit brandies.
I'm sure he said to split the wash in half and
distill. Then add only the stripped alcohol into
the 2nd half, stripp that, then a spirit run.
