Brand new T500 leaking

Hey guys. I guess I'm in a bit of a bind now. I have 3 25l batches of wash fermenting as we speak and about to finish.
I decided to plug my T500 water pressure regulator kit in and try and mess with water flow. Well it decided that it was going to leak out everywhere through the black plastic piece that the thermometer probe slides into.
Is this a common problem? Any fixes?
Luckily I have the copper pot still top for it so I am just going to run all the wash through that and store it all until I get the reflux top fixed.

First things first. I read a bit of panic into your post. If your wash is ready to run it is wine and wine keeps for ages and certainly long enough to fix stuff so you can distill the way you want. Just keep it in clean fermenters/bottle/dj/kegs etc with no air space in it.
Water leak - do you have a pic?

From your post am I right in thinking you were just experimenting and not doing a run ?
I used to run a T500 and the probe is not a very tight fit BUT I think you will find that the amount of water flow required when it's working will not leak.if you're concerned put a bit of blue tack or Vaseline or even plumbers Ptfe tape where required
And as mashy says don't worry about the wash in fact if you're not in a rush it will clear naturally without finings

Thanks guys. I tried PTFE several times and it still won't work. I have the pressure set at 450-500ml/min and that still didn't work. I see that they upgraded that piece on the copper column. I kinda wish I would've just paid the difference and got that one. They should've designed that part a little better. I will have to see if I can just swap it out.I have a call in so we shall see. I will probably just see if I can pay the difference and upgrade.

Couple of thoughts. ...
IMO you always need twice as much PTFE tape than you think is necessary.
Is the leak a drip or a spray?

Another couple of thoughts
From memory if you push the probe in too far it can restrict the flow which migh cause the leak
Perhaps there's a blockage somewhere when it was put together in china land? There's only 4 screws and a couple of nuts to remove to strip the very simple thing down and have a look

I know I'm a bit late with this issue...
Mine has always leaked just a few drops when I'm running normally but leaks crazy when I turn the water right up (which I did by mistake one time).
I haven't worried about it and just wipe up the spill stains after I'm done.

it's always good to wipe up the stains when you're done.
